Jamie Reed is a New Jersey/NYC-based R&B singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, and occasional rapper. Music has been a defining part of his life from the very beginning; from playing the drums at age three to now studying at New York University’s prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.

Reed’s artistry is rooted in storytelling and experimentation. His 2021 debut single, “enough,” introduced his smooth, introspective vocal tone and emotional honesty, setting the stage for his evolving sound. Later that same year, he released “refined,” a moody, atmospheric R&B cut that showcased his growing confidence as a writer and producer.

He continued to gain momentum with his breakout track “i made out with your girlfriend,” a witty, bold, and irresistibly catchy anthem that remains his most popular release to date. In 2025, Jamie pushed his artistry even further with two standout singles: “cannot have you (it’s something you’ll never know)” featuring Lola Brown, a soulful, emotionally layered duet exploring desire and distance, and “SHE’S CRAZY,” a high-energy collaborative track featuring Alessandra Clarke, Lola Brown, August Ultra, and Mikael, where his alter ego j4frodistic, made his first appearance. Through j4frodistic, he explores playful lyricism and confident rap cadences, the embodiment of his more sexual, aggressive, and mischievous side. It’s a persona that allows him to push boundaries and express himself with raw, fearless creativity. He also teamed up with Tyjhon! for “lyrical pt. 2,” blending sharp lyricism and lush R&B melodies.

This Jersey Jewel’s sound fuses the vocal stylings of Usher and Stevie Wonder with the production sensibilities of Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar, Steve Lacy, and the '90s innovation of Timbaland. His writing carries the emotional depth of SZA and the inventive humor of Tyler, the Creator, while his charisma and stage presence draw from Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, and Victoria Monét.
